A new era: J Investig
Allergol Clin Immunol & SEAIC
Spanish Allergology has undergone major
scientific growth during the past decades.
Abstracts to the international congresses,
in the American Academy and European Academy
of Allergology and Clinical Immunology from
Spanish Allergologists are increasing
continuously.
Our scientists are publishing their main
findings in relevant journals which are
indexed and have a well-known impact factor
(Journal Allergology and Clinical Immunology,
Allergy, International Archives of Allergy
and Immunology, Clinical and Experimental
Allergy, Journal Investigational Allergology
and Clinical Immunology, etc).
One of the main objectives of the two former
Executive boards (2000 and 2004) of Spanish
Society of Allergology and Clinical
Immunology (SEAIC) was to achieve the
inclusion of the official Spanish journal in
Index Medicus.
On the other hand, The Journal of
Investigational Allergology and Clinical
Immunology (J Investig Allergol Clin
Immunol) provides an attractive and very
active forum for basic and clinical research
in allergology and clinical immunology. The
journal publishes original works, reviews,
short communications and opinions.
Thanks to the generosity of Prof. Albert
Oehling and the Board of The J Investig
Allergol Clin Immunol we are now able to
begin a new era: JIACI&SEAIC. We are sure
that this partnership will be a successful
one in the future.
From January 2006, the Official Journal for
the SEAIC will be the J Investig Allergol
Clin Immunol. The journal will appear
bimonthly (6 issues each year). The peer-review
system, based on a team of internationally
renowned and committed editors, guarantees
the scientific quality of the papers.
An electronic version of The J Investig
Allergol Clin Immunol will be available
on the official web of the SEAIC:
www.seaic.es
. This system will guarantee an important
and rapid dissemination of significant and
novel works in allergology and clinical
immunology.
